Balule Reserve
Naledi Bush & Enkoveni Lodge

Naledi Game Lodge is for those who wish their Big 5 African Safari experience to be intimate, personal, private and exclusive! Naledi is set right in the heart of Big Game Country, in the world’s most famous reserve, the magnificent Greater Kruger National Park. Located in the private Balule Reserve which was incorporated into Greater Kruger some years ago, at Naledi you will have all the benifit of a private safari in a very private place!

For our competitive Packages & Rates, inclusive of return transfers from/to Johannesburg on the daily Ashtons Kruger Shuttle, see the Departure section in the menu above.

Naledi Bushcamp is built on a hillside overlooking a private plain, with a central waterhole that attracts a vast array of creatures, by day and by night.

Naledi Enkoveni is bulit overlooking the mighty Olifants River – watch families of elephants who have come down to bathe, lazy hippos surfacing for a yawn, or a skittish herd of impala drinking nervously.

At both Bushcamp and Enkoveni, each suite is equipped with the finest quality linen and towels, there is air-conditioning throughout and of course everyone gets an en suite bathroom! But at Naledi, there is such a great time planned for you, that apart from sleeping (and a nap in the heat of the day), you won’t find much time to be in your suite!

Both camps feature gorgeous swimming pools – perfect for a few hours of relaxing in-between going out into the bush. The Naledi pub is always open loaded with ice cold drinks from all four corners of the world – a wonderful spot to meet before dinner and swap stories till late into the night if you like! Of course there are fast internet facilities, viewing facilities for TV and video, and plenty of live wild creatures in the gardens, trees, rivers and waterholes that form part of the property, so there is never nothing to do or nothing to see. And Best of ALL against any standard Naledi remains one of the most affordable Big 5 Safari destinations in Southern Africa.

For the owners of Naledi the lodge and the African bush are their passion! They run the lodge themselves, conduct every game drive and walk themselves, personally oversee the preparation and serving of every meal, and prepare each suite personally before your arrival. By the time you depart, you’ll be part of the Naledi family too!

At Naledi you will go out into the Bush twice every day in an open gameviewer. In the mornings we’re up before sunrise and we’ll stop for coffee somewhere in the bush. In the afternoons we’re out as the day begins to cool and the animals start to move; at sunset we’ll stop for sundowners and then drive into the night looking for wildlife adventure!

After breakfast we will have the option to go out into the bush on foot – whilst we are certainly in big five country, we’ll not forget the smaller marvels of the bush, from tiny flowers hiding under bushes, to animal tracks and signs as well as birds and insects.

Naledi sleeps only 8 and 14 guests at the superbly appointed Bushcamp and Enkoveni respectively

Naledi Bushcamp is where the Naledi story all began, and it remains one of the greater Kruger Park’s most sought after lodges. Set high up on the Thakazile Plateau, Bushcamp looks beyond the waterhole and the bushveld plains to the Drakensberg mountains in the distance.

From the Viewing Deck there is a never ending view over the bush and many sightings of big game and a vast number of smaller creatures are to be had whilst sitting comfortably high up, almost in the sky! The lodge is intimate, sleeping only 8 guests – each suite is individually styled and decorated, and you are treated to the finest cuisine and highest levels of service not only in Africa, but in the world today!

Marula Suite – Perfect for the Family. With two adjoining bedrooms, one equipped with a luxury double bed and the other with 3/4 size beds, you have one en suite bathroom, your own private patio and best of all, a magnificent view into the valley, to the waterhole where animals and birds come and go all day! (Marula is also ideal for 3 close friends on safari together).

Paperbark Suite – perfect hideaway for a couple! The suite is equipped with an enormous King size bed from which you can look out through the sliding glass doors to the bush beyond. Paperbark has one of Africa’s real pleasures in an outdoor shower, but of course you have a full en suite indoor bathroom as well. You have your own private deck with comfy loungers if you want to enjoy the bush in private.

Naledi Enkoveni adds an entirely different dimension to the Naledi safari experience! This beautifully appointed lodge is set on the banks of what is arguably the mightiest of all Kruger Park Rivers, the magnificent perennial Olifants.Unparalleled access to a riverine environment, Naledi provides the best of ALL worlds in the bush!

Tusker Suite – This gracious suite has a river-facing bedroom, which makes it perfect for families. Tusker, like all Naledi suites is beautifully appointed in a style reminiscent of bygone Colonial times. The bathroom is fitted with a double volume bath and walk-in shower. Pocupine Suite –  Porcupine suite opens directly onto the lawns that stretch to the pool, through the gardens and to the edge of the Olifants River. It has a private river-facing lounge, fully stocked minibar and of course delighfully welcoming bedroom with en suite bathroom.
